What is the stability of methotrexate and cytarabine in Elliotts BŪ Solution?

Methotrexate 3mg/mL and Cytarabine 2mg/mL reconstituted in Elliotts BŪ Solution and stored in glass vials with plastic syringes have demonstrated to be physically and chemically stable for at least 48 hours at both 4oC and 23oC.
However, intrathecal administration of such admixtures should be completed within several hours of preparation, as Elliotts BŪ Solution does not contain any bacteriostatic preservatives. (Monograph Reference: Data on file)
